Power over sickness!

"Praise the Lord , O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's..."
--Psalm 103:1-5--

Nora is feeling a little sick this week, and as I have been caring for her day after day I have noticed that I too feel weak, exhausted and ill. It takes alot out of me to carry her around all day, have her hang on my body and listen to her poor little cry. She cannot express to me how she feels and I feel so helpless and sad.
As I have been praying for her through the day, I have found God speaking to my heart things that I have always known. God is a God of healing! He does not desire his people to be sick or full or disease, although there are accounts in the Bible when God brought those things to those who were disobedient or sinful to His name. But I know that as a family who is obedient to His word, he longs for my children to be healthy! God also made it clear in the Bible that we have the power to do greater things than Jesus did during his time on this earth. Jesus performed MIRACLES! He healed the sick, made the blind to see and even raised men from the dead. But God says we have the power and authority in His name to do the same.

I have found myself praying over Nora with such authority. "In the name of Jesus, this sickness has no place in her body!" "You must leave this baby's body NOW in the name of Jesus!" These are things that we are supposed to claim and speak and bring forth by the power and blood of Jesus Christ. By such faith, we will begin to see a great healing take place, I just know.

I am a huge believer in the fact that what we speak will be brought into life. I am constantly saying to everyone around me "Don't claim that! Don't say that!" The power behind our words is much too great to allow ourselves to use it in such ill fashion. When we speak good, positive, uplifting things about our circumstances, our health, our future...those are the things that will come to pass! Those are the things we will be blessed with. The same is true when we speak curses into existence. The devil takes those words as a foot hold into our lives and uses them for our harm. We need to be aware daily of the things we speak. For instance, rather than saying "Nora is sick" or "Nora doesn't feel good" we need to be aware of the effects of those words and instead say that "Nora is well in the name of Jesus!" or "Nora is healed in the name of Jesus!" It is quite simple really. In our lives time and time again I have seen the results of this kind of thinking and I am blessed to say that God honors a man, woman, or child with such wisdom. Please take it to heart and speak encouragement, healing and fruitfulness over yourself and your family today!

God bless you all!!!
