Well today was interesting, to say the least. First of all, this is extremely personal but I wanted to throw it out there that I was supposed to start my period yesterday and still tonight--it's a no show. I'm on the pill so obviously when it didnt happen, I panicked because it's unusual that I wouldnt have it exactly when I'm supposed to. I took a test and am not pregnant...thank God. Dont get me wrong, as hard as that would be I would be thrilled as I was to have both of our babies before. However, I have worked super hard to get to a really great place within myself as a mom, wife and woman in general in the past year. I just cant see going through all of those maternal changes again so soon...if even ever again. Anyway...after that big ordeal and after my anxieties were settled a bit, I put the kids down for their usual naps. They both seemed tired.
Braden fell right to sleep as always. He's a good napper. Nora is a little harder for me to lay down but she almost always takes a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. I went downstairs and proceeded to clean the entire house. It felt wonderful!!! When I came back upstairs to check on Nora (through the closet that walks through from the guest room to her room)...I peeked in and what did I see??
Nora. Pants off. Diaper off. HORRIBLE SMELL. Legs in the air (bare-butt). Hands brown and gooshy wiping the crib and walls. With...Poop. It was on her face. In her hair. On her legs. On her arms. On her shirt, sheets, doll, cup. EVERYWHERE. Oh dear Lord. It was a terrible, nasty experience and I was so disgusted. She continued to tell us for the rest of the day "poop in my mouth, mama. Poop in my mouth." UGH! Ugh! Ugh! Are you serious, Nora? hahahaha.
Funny now. Not so much then. Anyway, it was a fairly typical day actually. I started this blog so that I could write about situations like this daily and yet I never seem to spit them all out. In all reality, it is super common for me to experience something along these lines. I'm a mom. It's cute and funny and innocent and I love every single thing about it. Even cleaning up fecal matter from my 2 year old's room and hair. haha. It is sick but it is comical and it brings me laughter and joy. To see her face and the way she's learning, even about nasty poop, makes me happy. We're growing--all of us, together. And that is fulfilling. I love it all. So so much. I love being a mom. It's the greatest thing I've ever and will ever accomplish.

Oh man! Hahaha. Ry totally pooped on the bathroom floor the other day and I thought THAT was bad. I can only imagine that whole situation :) It is so funny how much you can take away from even the "poopy" situations. lol
