6 days to go!

Good Morning Beautiful Friends!
It is currently less than one week until Christmas morning!

I am so excited. I am done shopping, havent started wrapping, and I just keep on baking! So far I have made sour cream cookies (everyone's favorite), and peanut butter drizzle drop cookies. They are MY favorite. Oh they're so good.

We are currently in the middle of an awesome ice storm. It iced through the night and if I hear correctly the temperature must have dropped and now it's raining. It's just plain nasty. Daniel is out working his little heart out. I just always feel so sorry for him. He's determined to find joy in this job no matter what the circumstances (and sometimes that is not easy.) I just daily pray for safety, strength and joy in his heart. God is faithful in those things. He is a great provider.

I cut my hair! Yesterday I left to finish shopping for the afternoon and made the impulsive stop on the way there. Jeni's on her cruise so she didnt get to do it, but she'll like it, I know. It's cute. I feel like myself. Daniel LOVES it short after I initially do it. The idea always frustrates him a little--that I would grow it for so long and then just whack it all off. But, he really really likes it. I havent gotten pictures yet because I havent had time to even actually do it. I'll try to get some later.

We are supposed to have the Y's Christmas potluck today. Not sure if that will happen because of the weather, but we'll see. Other than that, we're planning on a warm and quiet night here at home. I'm making Dijon crusted pork chops with roasted carrots and potatoes. Sounds great, right? We'll see! What are you all having for dinner?

Have a great day and weekend. I'll post pictures soon so keep an eye out!!! Love you all!
