"You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of your hands. They will perish, but you continue. They all will grow old like a garment does. As a mantle you will roll them up. And they will be changed. But you are the same. Your years will not fail."
-- Hebrews 1:10-12 --

Hallelujah! Glory be to our Great God!
Happy New Year Friends! Today I woke up and was reminded of what an awesome God we serve. I immediately thought of the new year and the changes it may bring. We have yet to know what is in store for our lives, yet our God knows. He planned it and it is according to His will and purpose for us. That alone encourages me! The verse about encourages me also. Every. Single. Thing. in our lives change. God made it so. I believe that He did that in order to help us understand even better that He is the one and only true steadfast thing in our lives. He will not change. He is the God whose love remains! He is faithful! He is merciful. His love endures forever. Thank you Jesus!!!
For me, a new year brings new
H.O.P.E.
If you have had a year that has been painful, disappointing, exhausting and hurtful please know that is not the fate of your life. What is so awesome about the Lord is that He absolutely allows our circumstances to change. People in our lives change, our finances change, our jobs change, our children change. Everything is capable of changing. Look ahead and know that God has not left you and He will not! He is ready and willing to make this a year full of blessings and triumph! Cry out to Him and know that you are resting in His hands. He is giving you hope. He is waiting...
If this has been a year of great success, blessings, joy and fulfilment also keep in mind that life is simply that. It is life and trials come. Set your mind to praise this awesome God whatever comes your way this coming year. No doubt you will feel comforted and restored when you set out to make God the Lord of your life no matter what the enemy would bring your way. God's plan is far greater than that of this world and of our lives here on this earth. Seek your face towards eternity and be steadfast in your walk with Him. Again...He is waiting!
Thank you all for allowing me to share our lives with you this year. You are so faithful in your love and prayers to our family. We take none of it for granted and love you all so very much. My heart is content knowing that most of you know the inner most thoughts that I have daily. You laugh at our experiences and trials and cry when I experience grief. You are friends that I treasure above all and I hope you always know that I, too, am here for you. Have a great holiday everyone. I love you dearly.

Thank you for this post! Andy and I have been talking about how we are both so "blah" latley because 2008 was an OK year but we are looking foreword to better things to come. We're really missing home right now too and the closer he gets to getting out it seems like the time just goes slower and slower. I know that God has great things in store for us we just have to place our trust in him and grow in our faith. I miss you like crazy...I wanna see those babies and want them to play with Cole. Maybe one day we can all take a road trip SOMEWHERE (or to Rachel's) and get together. It would be awesome to have a "reunion".
