"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:6
Hello friends! How are you all feeling today? Are you troubled or anxious? Are you fearful about something in your life, discouraged about weight loss or other areas?
I remember feeling the way you feel. There are days when you just feel like you cant possibly reach that number on the scale, you cant possibly obtain that job you are so hoping for. I'm here to tell you that how you are feeling is no surprise to God. What is so remarkable is that He knows your steps before you take them and He is holding you in his hands. Do you believe that today? Do you trust that to be true in your life. It is so freeing to know that the steps of a righteous man are ordered of the Lord. It simply takes the pressure from our shoulders and lays it on the back of the only one who can handle it. Thank you Jesus for knowing and loving us!
God cares about your discouragement. He even cares about your weight loss and ideas about getting healthy. He cares about my leg and the pain I am feeling. He is concerned with the details of our lives because He is God and He controls it. Whether you believe it or not is not the issue. Just because you do not believe in something doesnt make it not true. It is true that He cares. I'm so glad that He does.
I called the Dr. yesterday and will be seeing a specialist for my leg on Tuesday. In my gut I know that it is a stress fracture and that he's going to tell me that I cant do any activity for 6 months or something drastic. It's worth it for me in the long run but will be so hard to actually hear. I'm glad I'm actually going though as I'm in constant pain, especially after teaching kickboxing.
Nora woke up with a high fever at 5:45 today. Braden is better. Figures right? I'm so drained. It's hard being in the house with sick babies for more than a week! Yesterday my mother in law went in the toy room to check on Nora and she had her diaper off and poop smeared all over her body. I love that she thinks it's a good idea to do that. Yet she is still completely opposed to the potty chair. What a hard headed little girl I have on my hands. Wonder where she gets that??
Braden started saying yes a few days ago. He has always been able to sign it so when he used his head to make the motion the other night we were so excited. He's just learning so much. He talks non stop now and says just about anything you tell him too. He's trying to put a few words together at a time but over all he is so laid back and lazy. Wonder where he gets that?? haha. So funny how they resemble their mommy and daddy in so many ways already. It makes me laugh.
Daniel said his interview went ok. He had never had to do one before so he felt like it was awkward. It was in front of 4 different people who were all asking him questions. Some he answered well, others he wasnt so sure. But he feels good about it either way, as we've been praying that God would either open or close this door so we would have peace and clarity in the direction we are supposed to go in the future. I know He'll do what is best because we are obedient and all we want is to do His will above all else. We should know more in a week or so! I'll keep you posted.
This is the day that the Lord has made. Will you choose to rejoice and be glad in it??

I just saw your post on Jonah Williams' blog, and had to pop over and say "hi"! I am also a redhead (although it's more dark auburn now) and just LOVE redheaded babies! Neither of mine have red hair, and every time I see a little one with red hair it makes me want another one! :) It's so beautiful and unique, and they will appreciate is so much when they grow up!
