I am currently typing this new post from my new laptop! SO beautiful and shiny and new. I'm in love for sure. We'll have some extra money coming in soon which will pay this little beauty off and then I will love it even more. It's so fast and not crowded with our pictures, games, documents, etc. I forgot what it was like to have an easy movin computer.
I took my first test and got an A (of course). I'm a genius so I expected no less. haha. Just kidding but really I knew I'd do good in this course. It's all material that I have a general idea about anyway and I am extremely interested in which makes it so much fun!
I took Nora to try on her flower girl dress for the wedding yesterday. She looks beautiful and is so excited when she has it on. She's SUCH a girl it's unbelievable. She is going through this "scared" phase. She'll walk around saying, "I'm not scared. I'm not scared. I'm NOT scared, mom." Or she'll tell me that her bear is scared and proceed to hug it sooooo tight telling Mr. Bear that it's ok, Jesus is there. hahaha. She is so cute.
Brother is wild as ever. He is just recently throwing some of the most massive fits I have ever witnessed. I think Nora is strong willed, but I fully believe that he wont be a whole lot different. I find myself saying to Daniel, "Get in here and deal with your son." Even though it's hard for me to see him discipline Nora, I tend to feel more comfortable with him dealing with Braden because he's such a strong willed boy. I know it isnt right, but thats just how it seems to work out lately. He's growing and changing so much. He's repeating everything now and says "Thank you, mommy," "Welcome, sissy." among SO many other little phrases. It is the sweetest thing to hear his voice even though he is so wild most of the time.
I will soon be getting the book "The Strong Willed Child" by Dr. James Dobson from the library. My mom read this book while I lived at home because Jake was also a very strong willed toddler and not much has changed. Anyway, I think it will be a good read. Speaking of good reads, I havent made a post about "The Shack" and my opinions/thoughts on it yet, but be looking out. I'll gather my thoughts and write about it soon!
Gonna be going to a cookout or potluck in the coming months? Are you hosting an indoor get together or party? In the coming weeks I'll have many ideas for appetizers or delicious, healthy summer dishes that will serve you well this summer! I made these meatballs last week for Daniel's lunch but you could also make them, keep them heated in a crock pot and include them in an festivity you may be attending or hosting. They were delicious and I'll be making them again, for sure! Enjoy!
