Hello Monday. You amuse me.
Hello friends. I love you all. Not only for always reading, but for reminding me that you are always reading and for loving me. I pray for you and charge the throne for you!
We had a busy weekend. Daniel and I decided to clean out the basement and garage. It all started by him moving a few boxes around and me realizing that it needed to be done long ago. It was hard work but everything feels and looks much better! I also spent time yesterday organizing well over 1000 pictures of the kids (literally) and writing their ages on the backs. I have been way lazy and realize that if I dont do it now, I may never do it and I want them to be well kept and organized so that in the future we can know how old they were in each photo. It's hard work being an obsessive picture taking mom.
Nora is still "potty training." She is doing much better but is still very lazy. She walked around half of the day on Friday with underwear on and only had one small accident. Then I let her walk around with nothing on and she peed down her leg and didnt even care. Anyone have any useful ideas for a stubborn almost 3 year old?? M&M's arent much of a reward since her nanny brings her a bag every other day. Stickers are way over-rated according to Nora and she doesnt take too well to a good old fashioned bribe. hmmm...
Braden is, well....Braden. See earlier post for details:)
Daniel is still applying for various jobs around the area in law enforcement. So far no door has been opened and we have peace about that. The Lord continues to provide in ridiculous ways and I love Him for it! We are definitely in His favor and I am so very thankful. Every time that there has been word of Daniel getting his hours cut, somehow he's ended up with more over-time than ever before. Our God cares! Although we feel like he is exactly in the center of God's will for him at least today, we are still praying that whatever door we are supposed to walk through in the future would be clearly opened when the time is right.
All in all, everything is great. I'm still battling alot of leg pain but am getting through it. Thanks for your continued prayers as I heal. Other than that, summer is in full swing and we are just enjoying the pool, sandbox, and extra baths!
Oh...and baking, of course.
Do you ever get frustrated when trying to bake homemade cookies of nearly any kind because they are either not done or burn easily causing you to throw out the entire batch and hours of your hard work? Ok, maybe not hours but you get it...
If so, you arent alone. Talking with Katie the other night, I realized that many of us think we are terrible cookie makers when in reality, it just HAS to be the oven's fault.
Here's a fail proof recipe of the most delicious cookies you will ever taste. There is NO way you can burn them, and they will definitely bake completely. All you will have is delicious, enjoyable, addictive cookies lining your kitchen counters. They are fast, easy and wonderful. Make them for a party, potluck or just for your husband who may just eat 14 in one sitting (like mine...ahem.)
Enjoy!
