rambles & blog award!!!

There is some funky stuff happening around me these days. For instance, hanging above me right now is a butterfly cocoon. The mailman found it on his route and brought it home yesterday. It was teal with beautiful gold jewels on it when he brought it in the house. We looked it up on google. It's a monarch. Today, it is black and I can see the wings. It's going to emerge, er, hatch in my house!
Only here. Only in our house do such things happen.

Yesterday was another interesting day. When it rains I put Heidi out in the garage to use the bathroom. Sick, I know. We clean it later but it's better than muddy paw prints all over my floor. She busted open every.single. garbage bag. No, no my friends...not looking for food as you may think. Looking for a big, soggy, poopy, stinky diaper to eat. She found 2.

And then at dinner, I made these awesome cheesy, ranch meatballs (email me for recipe)...and the grease dripped off the pan onto the bottom of the oven sending our smoke alarms into action. Glad to know they work for when we have a real fire--kinda like the one 2 minutes later when my oven mit was quickly engulfed in flames while still on my hand.
Thankfully, Abby just sat on her pregnant butt casually saying, "You're on fire. Um, you're on fire Rame." Good to know Ab. Thanks.

I'm PMSing. I know you love when I tell you but this time it slightly relates to my next point. I always cut, or color my hair drastically this time of month because my hormones scream "UGLLLY." I'm trying to let it grow. It looks hideous in it's current in-between phase.
Thought.You'd.Like.To.Know. Oh, these are just cause they're cute...

Daddy comes home for lunch and always squeezes in some love time. And I let him because by this point in my day, I'm usually hugged out until after nap.
I'm almost done with my Medical Transcription course. I did great on my first transcribing exercise and not so well on the last one. It takes alot of time, work and practice but I'm pluggin through. I cant wait to be finished. I really like the work, though, and think it's something I could really enjoy doing.
I'm going to start taking pictures at the Sears Portrait Studio if all goes as planned after my interview tomorrow. It's only a couple nights a week during their holiday season but enough to get me out of the house and socializing with some adults. Last winter I spent time teaching at the Y, but can't this year because of my leg. I'm excited and nervous about "working" again but think I will love it!
