She came into my life during one of the hardest seasons I have experienced. Daniel was just about to join the Marine Corps and Amos was going to do the same. We both joined an online 'military wives forum.' We were immediately drawn to one another because of our strong love for Jesus. She inspired me and changed my thinking in many ways and still does so today. We talk on the phone at least once a day and usually more; however, we both know that sometimes we just dont wanna talk (or answer) and we're fine with that. Unless of course I'm not, in which case I'll just call her over and over until she answers. It usually works.
I had moved to North Carolina and just found out I was pregnant with Nora when Rachel knew she would be coming to welcome Amos home from his first deployment. She decided to stay with us and it was all downhill from then.
Happy Birthday, Rache. We all love you so much and can't wait to see you! Come soon!

We had a great night celebrating Jake's birthday at Texas Roadhouse. I have pictures from before we left the house but don't have time to post them right now. I'll do it when the kids lay down for their naps this afternoon, so be sure to check back! We all look fab, if I do say so myself:)
I also want to say Happy Birthday to Mia Grace Elizabeth today.
She may be 4 years old but she will ALWAYS be a baby to me.
