Bounding Heart.

"He tends his flock like a Shepard; He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart.

He gently leads those that have young."
--Isaiah 40:11--
Thank you, Lord for gently leading me as I care for my young children. Thank you for your precious arms that carry us close to your heart. You, O God, are all I desire. You are everything I need. You fulfill me.

I was getting my blood pressure taken a few days ago.
When the nurse was done, she said to me, "You have a bounding heartbeat."
"thanks?"
She said, "Some people's heartbeats are distant, hard to hear, far away. Yours is loud, 'bounding!'"

That was unique-the way she said it. I liked it. I left that office and that is all I could hear.
She had her stethoscope on, and that is why she could tell my heart was 'bounding.' I couldn't help but wonder to myself if she thought that my heart was bounding in other ways as well. I clearly do not want it to be a subtle bound. I want my heart to be bounding for Jesus loud and clear. I want it to be strong and evident. And I pray so much that it is.

A bounding heartbeat for the Lord is what I desire everyday. And I want it for my children as well. I want them to feel excited about the things of God. I want them to see life with their spiritual eye glasses on and enjoy what they see. Because all around us, people are searching for "us"--those with bounding heartbeats to reach out and love them. And if I can just do that, I know that the Lord will be pleased. I pray He is.

Is your heart bounding today? What can you do to show it to those around you?
If it isn't bounding, in all of us, we need to ask God to give us the desire to love Him deeper and to show it stronger. The Word says that He will give us the desires of our heart. We just have to ask!
Have a great day, friends. Off to Nanny's house we go!

Wow...cool thought. I would love to hear the Lord tell me that my heartbeat for him was 'bounding'! Sadly, I fear that mine is rather average. I'll have to ask Him for some help with that! Thanks for the challenge. May the Lord bless & keep you!
