Welcome Month 8!
I can't believe the end is so near. It is June which means that no matter what happens, I will deliver next month!!! If the Dr. induces me when I think he will, I have about 6 or 6 1/2 weeks to go.
32 weeks today and going strong!
-not sleeping.
-swelling by the day.
-achy.
-exhausted.
-HUGE.
-nesting (some)
-in a pregnancy induced euphoric phase (emotionally).
-hot. really really hot.
-but overall, still doing really well.

Jeremiah 1:5
It amazes me to think that even now, the Lord is setting Mabel apart. Not only is she designed and created for a great purpose, but she is an individual. I keep wondering if she will look or act more like Braden, or if she will look or act more like Nora. The truth in it all is, no matter what she looks or acts like--she is not them.
She is set apart.
And that is such a beautiful reminder to me that each of us is designed by a personal God. He doesn't want us to be like someone else or look like someone else. He wants to use me and only me for the purpose He created me for. Only I was made for my purpose.
Only me.
We serve an intimate God. One who pays attention to detail. One who created us with a perfect idea of why He was doing so. Don't ever feel overwhelmed by the idea of a Lord who is greater than you and who is in control.
To the contrary--
Let the idea free you.

At our house, I enjoy(ed) cooking for my family greatly!
Before I was pregnant with Mabel, I cooked every night. Even our lunches were fresh and healthy for the most part. So when it started to get hotter and the sun began shining, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some fresh fruits and vegetables.
Last week I made homemade strawberry popsicles, the kids are enjoying grapes and apples in the heat and I couldn't resist making some fresh salsa for our Memorial Day cookout a few nights ago.
Ingredients:
2 cups frozen corn kernels, thawed.
1/3 cup chopped purple onion.
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
3 Tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (which I forgot & it was still good!)
1 to 2 Tablespoons finely chopped jalapeno pepper
1/2 tablespoon of salt
**you can also add a can of black beans which makes it SUPER great!
***I used much more of these vegetables than what was called for. It's all up to you and your liking.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate.
Simple as that!
Enjoy your day. It's supposed to be a rainy one here!

You look beautiful as always. I will be praying for you these next few weeks! I had Scotty three weeks early. It is possible you could be holding Mabel in a little over three weeks - crazy!!
Your salsa recipe sounds so good, and the photo looks yummy! I love homemade fresh salsa. I like it really hot. My mom-in-law and I made it a few years back using habeneros. We forgot to wear gloves - we learned our lesson. Our hands were literally burned!
thanks for posting the recipe sweetie...i enjoy colorful food! makes me feel better about myself when eating it too!
You look fantastic pregnant. You are glowing.
The salsa looks fabulous...we make one similar to that. I cheat though and start with a store bought one and add to it. ;) I'll have to try yours this summer.
I always get such belly envy when seeing a pregnant woman. You look great! So healthy. Thank you God, for making us grow people inside us!
