The day before Birth Day.

First of all, how cute are they?
Last night I prayed that God would give me a peace beyond my understanding. One that would allow me to sleep and not worry or be anxious about the delivery of our sweet girl. I know she is healthy. I know my body is strong. I want Him to plan and perfect every detail; therefore there is no need to worry.
God came through.
He always does.
And I slept perfectly...
...for the first time in weeks.

Yesterday I spent some one on one time with my first born. My sweet lady.
We are officially starting 'school' this fall but for now, I just enjoy seeing her little mind learn simple, basic ideas. She is unbelievably smart.
She has learned to spell and write her name this summer.
I am incredibly proud of that!
Yesterday was one of the hottest days we have had. I will always remember it when I think back to this pregnancy because I felt extremely guilty that daddy had to be outside working in it. I thank him repeatedly for doing so, but it never feels like enough.
He and the redheads cooled down with some water balloons late in the evening...

And the kids dragged me outside to show me the bug they had found. This is what I mean when I talk about learning moments that they will not get in a classroom. Daddy got this 'leaf bug' (as the kids called it) to make a neat noise and we got to explain to them all about why it looks like the leaf. It was neat and really pretty.
And resting on a leaf in the shape of a heart which you all know I love-
because God is pretty complex yet pretty simple.
We ended the evening outside by being sprayed with the hose, thus having a wild boy strip down to nothing. He was pretty much in Heaven.
Oh to be 2 again. To chase your sister and giggle the sweetest noise the Lord could have provided. What a beautiful, beautiful gift.
And speaking of gifts, we are about to receive yet another sometime tomorrow!
Can you believe it? That the time is already here?
I can't. But I am ready.
I have appreciated you all sharing in the excitement of this journey with us and I cannot wait to show off our lovely girl to you. We will update as soon as we can after she arrives.
Until then, please continue to pray and know that we could never make it without your love and friendship in our lives! We are beyond thankful for you.

Clinging to the promise of God for our big day and praising Him for His word!--
"So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand!"

I'm so glad you were able to get a good night of sleep.
I will be praying for you tomorrow!
