Has God ever stripped you naked?

Has He ever taken you to a place that is so bare and so raw that you feel vulnerable beyond compare?

If He hasn't, He will. It is inevitable. It can be scary.

What makes it hard is the inability to control. And that is the thing about God. He is in control. He always has been. Sure, we think we are. We think that we have our life by the reigns and are making our own choices. God lets us think that. But the truth is that He has never stopped being the driver. At some point, when you forget to recognize Him as such, He will do whatever He can to open your eyes.

Naked.

What I know about the Lord is what He tells me in His word. His word is the only unchanging thing. It is the foundation of all that we are and do. If you learn to accept it as truth, base your life upon it's words and live by the Lord's commands you are actually submitting control to the Father. This is His desire for us. He longs for us to accept Him as the author of our life and the maker of our decisions. He so desires for us to let go of that which troubles us and let Him lead the way.

If God is trying to get your attention this week...

...if things aren't going the way you think they should...

...if everything feels hopeless....

Try asking the Lord what it is He wants to reveal to you today about Himself.

Draw near to Him and seek Him.

Let Him hold you and be near.

When something becomes bare; stripped down; naked--

there is nothing left to do but begin re clothing again.

And He is capable. He will do that for you.
