Happy 5 months my lady!
Mabel's appointment went well yesterday. Her pediatrician agreed with all of my concerns, noticing that she wasn't following me and seemed to be smiling at nothing in particular. He said that by 5 months she should be following the kids, focusing, reaching for toys, etc. However, I know that not all children develop at the same pace. I have never put Mabel in the same bracket as the redheads--she is a very different girl!So our next step is to see the opthamologist who will take a deeper look into her eyes and to rule out a vision problem. She will also be seen by an 'early intervention specialist' who will gauge her development from now until she is a year old. Because she is meeting all of her other milestones, she could just be visually delayed. It happens.
So we begin the journey of prayer for our little lady. Knowing that God heals, we proceed to the throne with confidence that our baby will see and focus perfectly very soon! Thank you Lord!

* We switched Mabel from her giant soothie binky to another binky by the same company. They're called gumdrops and you can find them here. I totally recommend them. They are smaller and come in many colors which makes them much cuter! Love Love Love!
*I head to the Dr for my tailbone today. More to follow.

Awww congrats to your little girl...she is such a blessing. We will be gone for the next days so i wish you and your family a merry christmas and a happy new year, Ramee. Have a wonderful christmas time with your family and friends...see or hear you next year.
