Yesterday was Mabel's half year birthday. It may not be a big deal to most, but to this mommy, every event in the lives of our children is a big deal! She celebrated by doing the normal: swinging in her graco swing, being swaddled, sipping on her bottle, cuddling like a newborn and looking b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.
I see another new mom who's baby is 4 months old and she asks, "Is Mabel sitting up yet?" "Is she eating baby food?" "Her head seems weak and wobbly...are you concerned?"
I head to the Dr. yet again today for her 6 month check up and to discuss those very concerns among many others. We will also have her hip X-Ray so please be in prayer for good results. Whatever the outcome, we will probably be meeting with an orthopedic specialist. Just add it to the list, I suppose. But I am pacing myself and trying to take it all one day at a time, as it comes. I am trying desperately to embrace this time and all that is involved; emotions, fears, concerns, joys, achievements and triumphs. It is all going to go hand in hand, I am finding, and therefore I don't want to shut out the bad and only enjoy the good. It's all a process and a journey. I'm living it, so I might as well be present.
Aunt Jeni came and did haircuts this weekend.
Rachel's is shorter and a chocolate brown.
Mine is pixied once again...
And I am not complaining...
As promised, I want to announce the book that we will be reading for our study. The format will be posted soon but we wanted to give you time to either purchase the book (here)
or to get it from your local bookstore or library if you want to be involved. Once you purchase the book, please leave a comment or email me (rameelin@mail.com) to let me know that you'll be joining us. If you don't get a hold of me, that is ok too. You have one week from today to purchase and begin reading this book. On the 24th (Monday), I will be posting more details about our book club/study. Stay tuned! This should be an awesome time together and should hopefully challenge us all in new ways!!!

The Lord is laying a few new things on my heart. I hope that you'll be in prayer for my family as I am always praying for yours. I long to be in fellowship with you, so feel free to always write me and let me know how I can be praying for you through the week!
